Through the whole scene non diegetic sound occurs. This sets the romantic scene being emily and alison building up sexual tension before anything happens. The camera throughout is at a high angle. This is to show both sides of emotions within their relationship- this is them both willing to be sexually active together.


The scene starts off with non diegetic sound which is lively and violets which sets romantic scene and also implying that Effy is visiting someone she loves. When freddie opens the door, the camera is at a low angle to look up at Freddie. In a straight relationship it is shown that the girl is always the one looking up at the men. This shows how the typical straight relationship is like- showing the gender that is dominant within a relationship being the men.
